Tips for Donating

Taking a little time to browse the below guidelines before

you donate can help us make good use of your items and

therefore sufficiently support our mission.

Tips for Donating

• Before donating an item, ask yourself if you’d give it to a relative or friend

• Wash or dry-clean clothing

• Keep clothing and other items like glass in separate boxes or bags

• Test electrical equipment and battery-operated items

• Include all pieces and parts to games and toys

• Leave donations at store with attendants on duty, and ONLY during business hours.

• Donations dropped off outside business hours encourage theft.

Items We Cannot Accept

Broken or soiled items

• Household trash or garbage

• Items that have been recalled, banned, or don’t meet current safety standards, fire arms

• Loose/unbundled hangers

• Furniture in need of major repair, or pianos

• Building materials (lumber, concrete, doors, windows, bricks, stone, etc.)

• Used automobile parts, including tires

• Televisions and other electronic equipment without all of their parts

• Refrigerators, air conditioners, hot water, heaters, furnaces, light fixtures or ceiling fans

• Flammable and toxic materials, including paint

• No mattresses

Get a Tax Break
Donations to Goodwill BridgePointe Services are tax-deductible.  When donating, you will be
given a signed tax receipt.  Please fill out completely and check with your tax advisor on
